Sinaia, or the Pearl of the Carphatian’s, is one of the oldest and famous mountain resort. located in Prahova County in Bucegi Mountains, 140 kilometres north of the capital Bucharest at an altitude of 767 m and 860 m, Sinaia boasts ski slopes at an altitude of 2,000 m, on the plateau of the Bucegi mountains. In 2019, Sinaia was named Romania’s Best Ski Resort third year in a row by the World Ski Awards, event which was hold in Kitzbuhel, Austria. It is both a touristic and a balneo-thermal resort. Having the Peles Castle near by adds to the natural beauty of the area. Wanna make a full-week holiday out of it?
